Lamborghini
Sesto Elemento is already listed for sale at €2M
A
few months back, shortly after it was revealed at the Paris Motor
Show, reports began to become apparent suggesting that the Italian
automaker could put it into production, however limited. Now the
car is listed for sale by an exotic car dealership in Germany.
Although the reported original listing on the mobile.de online
marketplace is no longer there to be found, it is still up on
Auto Salon Singen's website with an approximately €2 million ($2.63M
USD) list price – €1.9m before tax, €2.3m after. More

Ferrari Enzo will be hybrid
The
next Enzo will be revealed in 2012 and it "will incorporate
the state of the art of our knowledge in terms of increasing performances
while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. It will then influence
all Ferraris that appear after it." Under the hood there
will be the same gasoline-hybrid technology that is found in the
Vettura Laboratorio HY-KERS concept that was unveiled in March
at the Geneva Auto Show. As for the car’s design language, it
was previewed in 2007 by the Millechili concept. More

Honda CR-Z
Looking
inside, the whole "hybrid sports car" theme is nicely
presented. The futuristic dash display speaks to the eco-mindedness
of the CR-Z, and the nicely bolstered, supportive seats and short,
nubby six-speed manual shifter are sporty visual cues. Furthermore,
all of the car's controls are canted toward the driver, and we're
big fans of the smaller-diameter steering wheel. Especially with
the navigation screen in place, the interior looks great when
lit up at night, though Honda is long overdue for an upgrade to
its infotainment display technology. More

2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart
The
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart is a compromised vehicle.
In strict terms of the competition, I like it more than the twitchy
MazdaSpeed3 but less than a Subaru WRX. While the Mazda has more
power, the Mitsubishi's smart AWD system (last generation or not)
lays the power down in a much more competent and satisfying way
than the Speed3. The WRX, however, smokes the tires off of both.
While the WRX is not the shockingly capable canyon carver it once
was (blame the long travel suspension and re-packaged rear introduced
in 2008), the Sportback Ralliart comes up short. Initial turn-in
feels better, but that's about it. More

Volkswagen Jetta Details Released
There’s
good news for fans of VW’s perennial favorite sedan: the 2011
Jetta gives you more style for less money. The 2011 model boasts
distinctive new exterior styling and has grown nearly four inches
in length compared to the 2010 model. The interior hasn’t changed
much since 2010, but that’s not a bad thing since VW routinely
receives praise for interior comfort and quality. The best news?
The starting price for a base 2.0 liter Jetta will be a miserly
$15,995.00. More

Drive: 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI
The
company assures us that for 2011, we can expect a return to the
fundamentals that helped establish the STI as a force to be reckoned
with. Though the drivetrain remains unchanged, a slew of suspension
adjustments and a lower stance have given the STI the ability
to hoover up tarmac and gravel stages indiscriminately once again.
It isn't a completely new generation – more like a much needed
do-over – but the changes are enough to make the 2011 model instantly
recognizable from behind the wheel. More

2010 Aston Martin Rapide
Rated
at 470 horsepower and 443 pound-feet or torque, this all aluminum
mill is unquestionably a perfect fit for the Rapide. Yes, of course,
there are faster, more powerful V12s out there on sporty four-door
sedans. The BMW 760Li for instance, makes 535 hp and 550 lb-ft
from its twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 and can hit 60 mph a full second
quicker than the Aston Martin (four seconds bests the Rapide's
five). But the big Bimmer looks like a pickle vat when compared
to the Rapide, and it sounds like a German engineering convention.
Whereas the British V12 is impossibly sweet sounding, endlessly
sexy and flat-out wonderful. Biblical, too – especially for a
four-door...More

New Front Wheel Drive Coupe
In
any case, the new FWD coupe will be designed for the Euopean market,
so we may not even see it on this side of the pond. It will be
smaller than their current G series, and MotorAuthority tells

2011 Mazda2
The
Mazda2 isn't a new car – it's just new to us (or U.S., as it were).
The 2011 model is the mid-cycle refresh of a car that's been immensely
popular overseas, so much so that it won the World Car of the
Year award in 2008. In reshaping the 2's design, Mazda wanted
to break away from what it calls the "mini-minivans"
of the world – cars like the Honda Fit that have tall greenhouses
and expansive windshields. Instead, the automaker opted for a
more coupe-like design (its description, not ours) with muscular
front fender arches and a pronounced shoulder at the rear. More

2010 BMW 335i Sedan
A
fairly conservative car, the 3-Series boasts few exclusive and
groundbreaking features; most of what it offers has been tried
and tuned on the automaker’s pricier offerings before making their
way down to the 3-Series. Introduced for 2007, the 335i’s turbocharged,
direct-injected 3.0-liter inline-six hits the all-important 100
horsepower per liter mark. A nearly flat torque curve begins at
a low 1,400 rpm, meaning turbo lag is all-but-quelled. More

Sonata 2.0 Turbo hits 60 in 6.5 seconds, returns 34 mpg highway
According
to Hyundai, its new 274-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine
for the 2011 Sonata sedan is going to be a real gem. To wit, the
Korean automaker says the boosted-four will propel its midsize
sedan to 60 miles per hour in just 6.5 seconds. That's serious
speed for the segment and it means the Sonata will at least have
the accelerative chops to stick with the rest of the sport sedan
competition. Of course, these days frugality is just as important
as horsepower, and Hyundai assures us that its 2.0T-powered Sonata
will be able to return the promised 22 miles per gallon in the
city and 34 on the highway – all on regular-grade fuel. More

Nissan Versa gets priced, includes minor updates
The
Nissan Versa hasn't received any substantial updates since its
2007 debut. It's a shame, since there's some pretty stiff competition
on the market these days, especially from the likes of the Suzuki
SX4, Honda Fit and Ford Fiesta. Still, Nissan adds incremental
updates annually, and the 2011 model year is no different. What's
most important, though, is that pricing for the latest Versa has
gone unchanged, meaning the bottom-end 1.6 Base sedan still rings
in at $9,990, and the top-end 1.8 SL hatch commands $16,900, with
a variety of models in both body styles in between. More

September. But ahead of its big reveal, spy photographers have
caught the new Mondeo out in the open, and while the basic shape
hasn't changed, there's something far more interesting under the
hood. The major stylistic upgrades are up front, where the Mondeo's
fascia picks up a few cues from the Fiesta and the 2012 Focus,
including a larger lower grille and slimmer upper section. The
front foglamps have been re-shaped and a strip of LED running
lamps tie the design into Ford's B-segment hatch. More

Chrysler 300C SRT8
The
300C SRT8 is the product of a pre-castrated Chrysler. This was
a time of Viper-powered Rams, Hemi-powered Jeeps and SRT-badged
Neons. "You want it, you got it." Chrysler wanted the
300C SRT8 to start a new trend of muscle sedans – a land where
quarter-mile times reigned supreme, and booming exhaust notes
were all that mattered. This trend never really caught on (save
the Cadillac CTS-V, which has been honed to be one hell of a machine),
and at the end of the day, Chrysler was left with a big, heavy,
powerful sedan that didn't offer much in the way of refinement
and carried a near-$50,000 price tag. More

Audi A8 L arrives with 500-hp W12, seating for a king-maker
Audi

extra inches are put to good effect, with an interior that's enough
